Petroleum strike off: but damage lingers

Although the strike of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation trade unions had been called off on Wednesday afternoon (26) a shortage of fuel was experienced in several areas in the country. It resulted in long queues at filling stations most of which closed after their fuel stocks were exhausted.
