Toddler dies after choking on plantain

WELLAWAYA

A two-and-a-half-year-old died on Wednesday after a plantain stuck in his throat.

The toddler who found it difficult to breathe after the plantain stuck was admitted to the Wellawaya Base Hospital.

The deceased Kodasinghe Rajamanthrilage Dasun Laksara was from Anapallama, Kandiyayagama in Wellawaya.
