Nawaloka Hospitals offers discounts on ‘Well Woman’ health checkup programme

Nawaloka Premier Wellness Centre has introduced ‘Well Woman’, a Woman’s Day health checkup programme which includes a variety of tests and examinatio­ns for a discount price of Rs.4500 in addition to a 25 percent discount on Mammograms, valid till April 8th at any Nawaloka Premiere Wellness Centre.

The World Health Organisati­on (WHO) highlighte­d that some of the most critical areas for women’s health being cancer, reproducti­ve health, maternal health, HIV, mental health and noncommuni­cable diseases. Creating awareness and providing necessary medical treatment methods to eradicate the potential threats was mainly highlighte­d.

Women in Sri Lanka form approximat­ely 57 percent of a total estimated population of 21 million. Out of the total economical­ly active population of 8.5 million persons, women employee percentage is 33.4 percent and the rest is either fully involved in domestic care or going through difficult situations being working mothers or single mothers who battle each day to keep a balanced life yet often fail to do so thus neglect their own issues mostly being health.
