Se­nior banker Kumar Mayadunne bids adieu

Se­nior Banker Kumar Mayadunne will be step­ping down as the Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer of SANASA De­vel­op­ment Bank (SDB) by the end of April, bank sources con­firmed. He will be end­ing an il­lus­tri­ous bank­ing ca­reer span­ning nearly 45 years.

Com­menc­ing his ca­reer at Stan­dard Char­tered where he headed trea­sury, trade ser­vices , per­sonal bank­ing and op­er­a­tions di­vi­sions at dif­fer­ent times , he later served at Peo­ples Bank as Head of Bank­ing Ser­vices , at Na­tions Trust Bank as Head Com­pli­ance & Op­er­a­tional Risk and with Ernst & Young as a Bank­ing Con­sul­tant.
