Ninewells Hospital re-launches corporate identity

-

Expanding frontiers, the Ninewells Hospital launched this week its new corporate identity to highlight its renewed focus, which is to increase emphasis to the entirety of woman and child care.

Known as one of the leading private sector hospitals that specializes exclusively on mother and baby care, Nilewells will now focus on the complete lifecycle of a woman, from birth through adolescence, pregnancy, motherhood and menopause to twilight years.

Ninewells Hospital Medical Director Dr. Vibash Wijeratne stated during the re-launch event that while the facility will continue to retain maternity care as its core business, the hospital acknowledges its responsibility to continue to add value to the healthcare space, therefore the renewed focus.

“The health barometer of a nation is assessed on the health of its women and children and given Sri Lanka’s admirable Human Development Index markers, as a specialized hospital dealing with women and children, we have a very proactive role to play,” he said.

Dr. Wijeratne also shared that market research has evaluated that Ninewells is much valued by women in Sri Lanka, thus another reason for the move towards extending and expanding its focus to support women in a more complete manner.

Ninewells Group Director Dr. Thiasha Fernando affirmed that it is these value additions that will ensure that sustainable care is always at hand for mothers and children.

“Our ethos is built on good quality standardized healthcare for women and children. We strive to be the best at what we do,” she stressed. Dr. Fernando added that while the state-ofthe-art technology and facilities add to the list of positives, Ninewells team remains one of the best in the country.

“Ethics, principles and integrity add to our unique formula of innovative treatment options,” she added while detailing the best practices integrated to facilities such as the Well Woman Centre, fertility programmes, post and pre-natal obstetrics, pediatric dentistry and ophthalmology.

Launched along with the new corporate identity was also a new personalized mobile application that allows instant access to information and track progress of pregnancy and milestones reached after birth.

The pioneering maternity and child health care services provider Ninewells Hospital was acquired by Access International Ltd in 2016.

It was been in operation for more than 13 years and provides comprehensive mother care, baby care and fertility care services ranging from counseling, ongoing antenatal services to labour and delivery, surgery and critical care services.
