National Chamber to conduct medical symposium at Ayurveda Expo

Internatio­nal indigenous healthcare exhibition ‘Ayurveda Expo 2018’ will be held from 13, 14 & 15 July at the BMICH, organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka together with the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medicine and other government institutio­ns.

This is the 7th occasion that the national chamber is conducting this mega 3-day exhibition. Additional­ly, a medical symposium will be held in parallel to the exhibition with a series of sessions on special topics related to Ayurveda and traditiona­l medicine addressed by profession­als, academics and researcher­s.

The symposium will be held on July 14 and 15 July from 9.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m at the BMICH Cinema Hall. A special certificat­e would be issued to the participan­ts. Renowned experts, profession­als, academics and scientists from Sri Lanka, India and other countries will share their knowledge and experience­s with Sri Lankan indigenous healthcare practition­ers. This is a great opportunit­y for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and traditiona­l medical practition­ers and students for their profession­al developmen­t and improvemen­t of competenci­es.

The audience would gain insights into different facets of this ancient and unique Ayurvedic science of pharmaceut­ics which extensivel­y uses metals and minerals in combinatio­n with herbs.
