National Chamber with Sampath Bank to conduct workshops for prospective entrepreneurs
The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka in association with Sampath Bank will be conducting a series of workshops to familiarize youngsters on business entrepreneurship and help them start their own businesses.
The first programme in this series will be held in Galle, on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is free of charge.
The target audience will be school leavers, undergraduates, youth, women and differently abled, who wish to start their own businesses. Deepal Sooriyaarachchi and Chandana Gunawardana, who are well experienced professional trainers, will be the speakers.
Sooriyarachchi is presently a Director at Sampath Bank PLC and he is a Management Development Consultant, author, speaker and trainer. Gunawardana is an expert in entrepreneurship development, psychology and is a trainer and author.
The objective of this workshop is to educate the prospective entrepreneurs on how to make the correct decisions when starting a business, how to gain profitability and get good returns, how to increase quality and productivity, how to access the appropriate technology and how to market a product well.
This will also help increase employment opportunities for the youth and women in the region.
