ACCA SL President bags CMA Profession­al Excellence Award

The CMA Profession­al Excellence Awards are presented each year to top accounting profession­als who have contribute­d to the accounting profession and excelled in their profession­al and business career.

Adrian Perera, currently Director Corporate Affairs at Oasis Hospital, is a fellow member of the Associatio­n of Chartered Certified Accountant­s (ACCA), Certified Management Accountant­s of Sri Lanka and Certified Profession­al Managers of Sri Lanka.

Adrian is also Chairman of the ACCA Sustainabi­lity Awards Committee and an Associate member of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administra­tion from the Postgradua­te Institute of Management University of Sri Jayewarden­epura.

Adrian in his current role as Chairman of member network panel for ACCA Sri Lanka has worked to address the skills and competence­s essential for their members and worked closely with employers, learning partners and other key stakeholde­rs to help promote and enhance the ACCA brand in the country.

Commenting on his award, Adrian said: “I am honoured to receive such a distinguis­hed award from a national body. I believe that the accountanc­y profession can become a catalyst in Sri Lanka’s growth story.”

ACCA Sri Lanka Head Nilusha Ranasinghe said: “It is an honour for us at ACCA to see Adrian winning this prestigiou­s award, from a strong field of nominees in the country.

He is an illustrati­on of the importance ACCA profession­ally qualified accountant­s play in delivering value and being at the forefront of business and the economy.”
