HNB Grameen Finance recognised by Great Place to Work Institute
HNB Grameen Finance Ltd has been once again recognised as one of the 25 Great Places to work in Sri Lanka by Great Place to Work Institute Sri Lanka.
Continuing the momentum gained last year, the company clinched the Silver award in the ‘Extra Large Sized Enterprise’ category at this year’s ceremony held at the Hilton Colombo. HNB Grameen Finance was the only financial institution listed as a Great Place to work in 2018. HNB Grameen employee base is characterised by its exceptional team spirit, trust and pride of their place of work. The unified effort of the company’s employees was the principal factor behind the achievement.
Commenting on the achievement, HNB Grameen Finance Managing Director and CEO B.M.D.C. Prabhath said: “Since being recognised by Great Place to Work Institute Sri Lanka in 2017, we’ve been actively working towards reinforcing our work culture. Our efforts cover a spectrum of areas in our work culture from recruitment, ensuring nondiscrimination to implementing a merit based culture. Receiving this accolade once again in 2018 proves our unwavering commitment to creating a progressive and an affable place of work for all our employees. The steadfast support that we receive from the two power houses Hatton National Bank and Prime Lands Group adds value to our efforts to create value for our employees.”
Great Place to Work Certification involves a process of gathering insights from individual employees done independently by the team at Great Place to Work, including a Trust Index Employee Survey and Culture Audit, among others. Companies receive awards based exclusively on the unabated employee feedback. The unified focus and vision of HNB Grameen Finance, throughout this journey of 18 years in the industry, has been to lead the nation as a stable and leading finance company pioneering in microfinance, with a key focus towards a committed human touch; uplifting the populous and developing the economy of Sri Lanka.
