In line with Sri Lanka’s national policy, NDB Bank conducted a forum titled ‘NDB Business Banking Forum for Southern Province Exporters’ in Galle.

The forum acted as a backdrop to the bank’s ‘Cinnamon to the World’ pioneered by NDB, which will assist the country’s national policy by empowering the cinnamon growers, exporters and cinnamon-related product manufacturers in the country, with a vision to stimulate cinnamon export growth in Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, the forum, which was followed by fellowship and cocktails, was conducted as a means to empower the country’s Southern Province exporters and to spread awareness regarding the export business on various export products including cinnamon.

NDB Business Banking provided the participants an evening of education regarding the offers and value-added services open to them.

The industry stakeholders such as the Export Development Board, Sri Lanka Export Credit Insurance Corporation and Export Agriculture Department participated to share the latest opportunities and assistance available to the exporter segment. The forum was held under the patronage of NDB Vice President SME, Middle Markets and Business Banking Indika Ranaweera, EDB Deputy Director Anura Wickramasekara, EDB Assistant Director Milimini Wanasinghe and SLECIC Assistant General Manager Mohan Silva and SLECIC Senior Marketing Executive Nutan Thowfeek.

NDB has played a major role in the development of the country. NDB remains to be a banking partner, who is as committed to the customer business’ growth as the customer themselves and will never allow their business to slow down for want of liquidity or access to capital.
