Cur­tail staff re­cruit­ment-it should not ex­ceed cadre limit

Min­istry of Pub­lic Ad­min­is­tra­tion warns Heads of De­part­ments

Sec­re­taries and Heads of De­part­ments have been in­formed by the Min­istry of Pub­lic Ad­min­is­tra­tion and Man­age­ment that they are re­spon­si­ble for re­cruit­ing em­ploy­ees for the semi gov­ern­ment and gov­ern­ment stat­u­ary boards with­out prior ap­proval of the trea­sury and if ex­ceeds the stip­u­lated num­ber of cadre re­quire­ments.

A Cab­i­net Ap­proval has been ob­tained to be held re­spon­si­ble the Chair­men, CEOS’ and ac­coun­tants of the gov­ern­ment in­sti­tu­tions who re­cruit em­ploy­ees out­side of ap­proved cadre lim­its.

It is re­ported that many mi­nor em­ploy­ees have been re­cruited by now with­out ap­proval of the trea­sury for the posts of labour­ers, driv­ers and mi­nor em­ploy­ees on ca­sual ba­sis.
