SUMITH BIBILE
The first death anniversary of well known yesteryear actor Sumith Bibile who played the lead roles in Umathu Wishwasaya and Asoka, falls on September 5. Sumith Bibile, father of popular actress Sanoja Bibile, was born in Kandy on November 30, 1930. Sumith Bibile was a product of Dharmaraja College, Kandy. He gave up acting after marrying Nandanie Dehigama in the fifties, but he appeared in one movie ‘Senehasa’ in the late sixties.
