Kaikawela Central, Matale beat Mayurapada National School, Narammala by 42 runs in their SLSCA Under-17 Division 3 Third Round cricket fixture played at the Campus grounds in Makandura on September 5.

Elected to bat first Kaikawela Central totalled 171 runs in 45.4 overs with C.G. Nadun making a top score of 61 and then dismissed the opponents for 129 in 38 overs. Left arm pacie Pathum Lakmal did the major damage to return with best figures five wickets for 27 runs while Isuru Chamika captured four wickets for 28 runs to share nine wickets between them. A match winning knock of 94 by C.G. Nadun, who was unfortunate to miss his maiden century by six runs in the series, guided Kaikawela Central to beat Kurunduwatta Royal by four wickets in their SLSCA Under-17 Division 3 Second Round Final match played at the Public grounds in Ukuwela in Matale.
