Sarvodaya Finance launches ‘60-60’ FD with free Dambadiva tour
Sarvodaya Development Finance, a leading finance company in the forefront of the finance industry, recently announced the launch of 60-60 fixed deposit in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of the Sarvodaya Movement.
As a special fixed deposit account, 60-60 rewards its account holders with an allinclusive Dambadiva tour for free. A new gift scheme for Sarvodaya Finance’s ‘Pancha’ saving account was also introduced at the ceremony in addition to introducing ‘Daru Isuru’ savings account.
Sarvodaya Movement Founder Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne, Sarvodaya Finance Chairman Channa de Silva and Sarvodaya Finance CEO Dharmasiri Wickramatilake also graced the occasion.
The name ‘60-60’ denotes 60 years of service excellence by the Sarvodaya Movement as well as the deposit period spanning for five years, in other words 60 months. The 60-60 fixed deposit account can be opened by anyone, where they will be eligible for an all-inclusive pilgrimage to Dambadiva, covering air tickets, accommodation and other requirements for free.
In addition, non-buddhist account holders will also receive an all-inclusive pilgrimage tour to India for free, where they can visit a religious site of their respective faith. Apart from the free tour, the fixed deposit offers attractive interest rates, which can be collected upon maturity or on a monthly basis.
Pancha children’s savings account has introduced a new gift scheme with a host of attractive gifts. The Pancha account can be opened for a child under 15 years. As a means of encouraging saving among children, Sarvodaya Finance offers an exciting range of gifts to Pancha account holders such as a till, water bottle, Pancha school bag, wrist watch, remote controlled car, drone, chopper bicycle and mountain bicycle in accordance with the value of the initial deposit.
A parent can open a Daru Isuru savings account, where a Pancha account will be opened automatically. The Daru Isuru account also provides the convenience of performing withdrawals from the parent’s account. As the parent continues to save more, Daru Isurupancha account continues to grow in proportion to the balance in the parent’s account.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ariyaratne and de Silva emphasized on the importance of inculcating the habit of saving from a very young age.
