SIAM holds meet­ing with Cey­lon Mo­tor Traders’ As­so­ci­a­tion

A twenty-mem­ber del­e­ga­tion from the So­ci­ety of In­dian Au­to­mo­bile Man­u­fac­tur­ers (SIAM) held a very fruit­ful meet­ing with The Cey­lon Mo­tor Traders’ As­so­ci­a­tion (CMTA) re­cently.

SIAM is the apex in­dus­try body rep­re­sent­ing lead­ing ve­hi­cle and ve­hic­u­lar en­gine man­u­fac­tur­ers in In­dia while the CMTA rep­re­sent the man­u­fac­tur­ers of the global brands of au­to­mo­biles and mo­tor bi­cy­cles.

SIAM has a long his­tory of close work­ing col­lab­o­ra­tion with the CMTA.

Wel­com­ing the del­e­ga­tion, Sheran Fer­nando, Chair­man CMTA Chair­man stated that over 70 per­cent of lo­cal ve­hi­cle reg­is­tra­tions were made up of In­dian prod­ucts and un­der­lined the As­so­ci­a­tion’s re­solve to work to­gether to­wards their mu­tual ben­e­fit. The del­e­ga­tion dis­cussed a wide range of is­sues re­lat­ing to de­vel­op­ing their busi­ness re­la­tion­ships in Sri Lanka es­pe­cially with the CMTA.
