Ananthi Sasidaran launches new party to boost Tamil Nationalism
Northern Provincial Council Minister Ananthi Sasitharan inaugurated a new political party, namely Eeala Thamilar Suyaatchchi Kalagam in a Jaffna guest house yesterday morning.
The party’s Secretary General would be Ananthi Sasitharan herself. During the inauguration, the party’s policies were enunciated with the blessings of religious leaders.
While proclaiming the policy of the party, Ananthi Sasitharan said, “The aim of our party is to bring together the aspirants of Tamil Nationalism locally and Internationally under one umbrella to journey towards the path of the right of Tamil self determination.
“Those who have difference of opinion with the TNA should leave the Alliance and those who leave should organise themselves as a structure. Tamils have to live amidst planned colonisations and conspiracies. These should be abolished and Tamil aspirations should become a reality into self determination , which is our primary goal,” Ms.sasidaran said.
“Our party seeks to affirm the National rights of the those in the North and East and in the hill country.
We will act in unison with the forces among the majority community and pressurise the government to implement the UN Resolutions.
The purpose as to why the TNA was formed, has been shattered and Tamil enthusiasts, both here and abroad are travelling in different directions. They have to be brought together,” she said.
She said that in order to fulfil that responsibility, all must co-operate with the Eeala Thamilar Suyaatchchi Kalagam.
