Cool Planet’s Andriana holds hands with School for the Deaf in Ratmalana
Cool Planet, Sri Lanka’s premier retail giant, along with one of their renowned in-house brands Andriana, organised a special Children’s Day celebration at the School for the Deaf in Ratmalana, to commemorate the World Children’s Day on October 1, 2018.
As a means of enriching and empowering the next generation of Sri Lanka and extending a warm gratitude towards the ever growing young customer base of the company, Cool Planet embarked on this Corporatesocial Responsibility project in 2017.
The Cool Planet team along with the team of Andriana spent the day with children and shared immense love, joy and laughter with them. The day was filled with fun activities for children such as face painting, bouncy castle, trampoline, ice cream corner, grooming session, game stall and a clown act.

We organised this Children’s’ Day celebration at School for the Deaf, Ratmalana, for the second consecutive time to brighten up and empower the next generation. We believe that we have created precious memories in their hearts and their love and affection truly left the whole Cool Planet and Andriana team inspired and loved. It was a special day for them and for us. We are delighted to constantly serve the society we live in and we hope to continue more CSR projects in the future as well.”
The event was delegated by the movie star Pooja Umashankar and she bonded with the children with her zealous singing and dancing. The children joined her in activities and lightened the day up. In addition, the children enjoyed a special grooming session which was hosted by Naturals Sri Lanka. The organisers had also prepared prizes and other surprises for the children.
The Children’s Day Celebration shared love and joy with around 160 children between the ages six to 18 who are studying at the School for the Deaf. The day was organised to make these gifted children feel special and help them make their day special with precious memories. The shining blithe and smiles on their faces were witness to the success of this endeavour.
