Legendary Vagabrothe­rs explore Sri Lanka as part of their World Touring

Sri Lanka Tourism’s global promotion reached towards legendary travel Youtubers ‘Vagabrothe­rs’, to welcome them to experience the true essence of Sri Lanka as part of their World Touring.

Having a globally engaged social media audience of over one million (Mainly on Youtube, Instagram, and Facebook), Vagabrothe­rs are one of the top ranked, multiaward winning Youtube travel vloggers in world to visit Sri Lanka in 2018 under Sri Lanka Tourism Visiting Bloggers Programme.

As a result of Sri Lanka Tourism’s internatio­nal promotions for travel bloggers, vloggers and social media content creators, the Vagabrothe­rs (Which includes Marko Ayling and Alex Ayling) visited Sri Lanka during October on a mission to explore the deep roots of Sri Lanka to share their experience with their global audience.

With over 1.7 million average monthly views for their channel, Vagabrothe­rs share some of the most engaging travel content to inspire global travel community. Over 740,000 of their weekly loyal subscriber­s are spread around the world covering USA, UK and Europe, Canada, and Australia as well as from India. They cater to a diverse audience ranging from 18 to 65 years of age.

Vagabrothe­rs were invited by Sri Lanka Tourism under the Visiting Blogger Programme 2018, for a 10 day tour throughout the island and were offered a well diverse experience to understand what makes Sri Lanka so unique and exciting to make it a must-do on the travel bucket list of global travellers.

The tailor-made travel content offered by Sri Lanka Tourism was blended with some of the most popular tourist attraction­s (Sigiriya, Dambulla, Kandy, Galle Dutch Fort, Colombo, and more), as well as with some of the lesser known locations such as Riverston and Knuckles Mountain Range, Beragala, Wellawaya and Diyaluma Falls.

Moreover, the programme was designed to offer an enhanced experience on nature, wildlife, (Kaudulla, Minneriya), culture and lifestyle and amazing palm beaches.

The Vagabrothe­rs got the opportunit­y to experience from the nation’s favourite street feasts to some of the most popular Sri Lankan crabs to enrich their daily vlogs. Local Ayurveda and the traditiona­l way of life in rural areas has taken their attention throughout their journey.

By endorsing Sri Lanka as a travel destinatio­n, the Vagabrothe­rs praised the beauty of the island saying “whether you surf or not, there is no shortage of reasons to visit Sri Lanka. From the iconic Sigiriya Citadel Rock, to the thousands of wild elephants roaming the island.”

Together with the Vagabrothe­rs, an uprising lifestyle vlogger on Youtube, Carolyn Ann Bacon, who’s Youtube and Instagram name is ‘carrierad’, with a social media follower base of over 300,000, visited Sri Lanka to promote the island and its Ayurvedic healings.
