Nolimit creates delightful memories on Children’s Day 2018 together with National Zoo

-

Sri Lanka’s leading fashion retail chain, Nolimit celebrated Children’s Day in partnership with the National Zoological Garden.

The annual event was held for the sixth year, and was a part of Nolimit’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative ‘Aseemitha’. Through Aseemitha, Nolimit strives to become an organisation which influences social change and leaves a positive impact on our communities.

The zoo had a festive and carnival atmosphere with over 18,000 participants. To kick things off, Nolimit released 100 helium balloons into the sky to the delightful cheers of all the children present. As they entered the zoo, children received a special welcome from popular cartoon mascots such as Spider Man, Minion, and Mickey Mouse. They were then treated to a variety of fun filled activities ranging from bouncy castles, face painting, and even a magic show. Nolimit also organised a host of interactive games to entertain the children such as Basketball shootout, Angry Bird catapult, Dunk Tank and Mini Golf.

The main event of the day was an exciting Art Competition where over 2,300 kids participated under four different age categories. The little ones enjoyed themselves to the fullest while letting their imagination take over as they painted with passion and enthusiasm. Nolimit presented the winners with special gift packs to encourage them to pursue their talent further.

Nolimit gave these children an opportunity to immerse themselves in a fun-filled day and create wonderful memories through this engaging event, with the National Zoo serving as a delightful backdrop to the occasion. It is important to note that the event was also educational for the parents and adults who accompanied the children, because they were taught the importance of letting their children play outdoors, appreciate nature, express their creativity and make friends.

Nolimit believes that nurturing and encouraging little ones and bringing them joy is a noble endeavour that will have a lasting impact on our society. Nolimit Marketing Manager Raneez Sheriff said: “Nolimit is glad to be a part of this children’s day celebration for the sixth year. Children are our future and it gave us great pleasure to organise this event for them and watch them engage and take part in all the fun and games.

Our goal was to create an enjoyable atmosphere for little ones to play outdoors and get closer to nature. Seeing their smiling faces as they took part in this event meant everything to us.”

Nolimit is dedicated to maintaining close ties with local communities by organising and contributing to events that have a positive impact on stakeholders. Apart from this event, Nolimit also carries out several CSR projects focused on the wellbeing of children.

The Nolimit corporate culture focuses strongly on sustainability and the organisation is committed to contributing to society and the environment while educating and inspiring future generations.
