Camila Cabello looked absolutely overjoyed as she scooped a staggering four gongs at the MTV EMAS 2018 in Bilbao, Spain, on Sunday evening. The thrilled 21-year-old singer whooped with delight as she picked up Best
Artist, Best US Act, Best Song and Best Video awards for her sultry chart-topping track Havana at the star-studded music awards.
The former Fifth Harmony singer was up against Ariana Grande, 25, in five of the six categories she was nominated for - and made sure to give a gracious ‘shout out' to her ‘wife' in her speech. After winning the Best Video award, she gushed: ‘Wow I don't know what to say! I feel so lucky to even be here tonight, I feel so lucky to even be nominated. Shout out to my wife Ariana who is also nominated.' Camila and Ariana Grande led the stars with the most nominations.
While Camila, 21, was also in the same five categories, with the added sixth of Biggest Fans for her chart-hopping song Havana. The nominations were a huge milestone for the singers after Ariana appeared in just two categories for the MTV EMAS 2017, while Camila just one. Elsewhere, Little Mix won the Best
UK and Ireland Act after performing their newest hit Woman Like Me with Nicki Minaj. Celebrating their win backstage,
Perrie Edwards was left overwhelmed and declared to her bandmates excitedly: ‘This is our third one!' Jesy Nelson added happily: ‘You are the most incredible fans in the world, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your guys, so this one is for you, we love you Mixers.'
Despite her delight, the auburn-haired beauty couldn't resist admitting she'd been a ball of nerves ahead of their show with Nicki and even suffered a slight stumble.
‘I was absolutely s**ting myself,' the down-to-earth star declared. ‘I was a Cool Colin before I went on and then my legs started shaking. I fell!' Perrie chipped in: ‘I was terrified, I just got to put my head on her bum! It felt incredible and life changing, heavenly!' Elsewhere, Dua Lipa scooped the Best Pop artist gong, beating out the likes of Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Hailee Steinfeld and Shawn Mendes.
