THE BEST DRESSED

Every month I have the fabulous task of compiling a best dressed list, I attend some fabulous events, sort through hundreds of photos from the past month to find thebest of the best. I do a roundup of events that played host to some of the most sartorially savvy, polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers. There were lots of fabulous events in October but none more so than the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka’s first international Fashion Week. Mercedes-benz Fashion Week is a celebration of fashion and culture. Colombo became the nation’s style attraction for country’s most innovative fashion designers, red carpet socialites and fashionistas. It is one of the island’s premier fashion and lifestyle event and showcases the collections of leading designer brands. With a myriad of sponsorships and collaborations, a mixture of fashion heavyweights and newcomers, Mercedesbenz Fashion Week Sri Lanka set the scene for a weekthat stands alongsidethe most famous runways of international fashion events.

The people on my list impressed with their style, their poise, their ability to pull a unique look together and were the most soigne of the soigne for the month. These style mavens know how to turn heads. There was no shortage of fashion hits from August and I look forward to seeing how our city’s sartorially savvy bring more stylish looks in the coming months as we head into the festive season!
