Disregarding people’s needs led to downfall of Govt.: Anura
The 6.2 million people, who voted for Yahapalanaya pulled away from the government because the authorities disregarded people’s needs and ruled the country without a vision focused on its citizens, the newly appointed State Minister of Finance said yesterday.

He made this statement when he assumed duties at the Finance Ministry under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
“People are very concerned about the economic crisis that the country is facing and how it impacts them. That is where the government failed. They could not manage the economy, but burdened the people more and more,” Yapa said.
