Drug peddler, assistant nabbed with 120 grammes of heroin

An individual wanted for distributing heroin in Anuradhapura and one of his helpers were apprehended by the Mihintale Police yesterday. The police took the suspects into custody at the Velankulama Junction in Mihintale along with 120 grammes of heroin in their possession.

The arrested main suspect had been surreptitiously distributing narcotics in the area along with his helper.

Both suspects were to be produced in the Anuradhapura Magistrate’s Court.
