Soldiers of 65th Division repair dam in Kilinochchi

The 65th Division of the Army has taken immediate steps to repair the dam of the Vannivilayankulam tank in Kilinochchi that breached due to the torrential rains.

On information given by the farmers regarding the tank located in Mantai East, the soldiers of the 65th Division, 10th Infantry Regiment soldiers and 21st Infantry Regiment soldiers have repaired the dam on the guidance of the irrigation officers.

In the meantime, all minor tanks are on the verge of spilling over due to torrential rains in the Kilinochchi district. The irrigation officers have warned that some minor tanks may overflow and request the residents living in the areas to be vigilant.
