Ranil will make right decision at the right time

Hinting out the immediate future of UNP, its former MP and Former Deputy Minister Nalin Bandara Jayamaha yesterday said its current leader Ranil Wickremesinghe will make the right decision at the right time.

Mr. Jayamaha expressed this sentiment when journalists questioned him as to whether there is a move to change the leadership of UNP at a media briefing last morning.

“Our current leader is a person who is known for making sacrifices. He made a sacrifice in 2015 and supported the candidature of incumbent President Maithripala Sirisena. Therefore, Mr. Wickremesinghe will do the right thing at the right time. Just wait and see,” he told journalists.

He also said Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa is of great value at this moment. The MP said this in response to a question raised by the journalists as to whether some Unpers have suggested that Mr. Premadasa should be appointed the leader of the party. Referring to the decision made by newly appointed Prime Minister to join SLPP , Mr. Jayamaha said SLFP will become a three wheel party by this move. He said this by stating that many SLFPERS will obtain the membership of SLPP shortly.
