AKILA DANANJAYA REPORTED FOR SUSPECT ACTION
Sri Lanka spinner Akila Dananjaya has been reported with a suspect bowling action during the first Test against England which concluded at the Galle Stadium on Saturday.
Dananjaya was reported by match officials at the end of the match, which England won by 211 runs.
They relayed concerns about the legality of his action to the Sri Lanka Team Management.
Under the ICC process, Dananjaya’s bowling action will not be scrutinised further. He is required to undergo testing within the next 14 days.
During this period, he is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the rest of the testing is known.
At present, he remains in Sri Lanka’s Squad for the second Test in Kandy which begins on Wednesday (14).

as an ‘off-spinner’, he also uses leg spin, googlies and carrom balls, particularly in one-day cricket.
While he caused England some trouble in the one-day series in October, he was ineffectual in the Galle Test, taking two for 183 in the match from 38.5 overs.
The news is another blow for the hosts after their Captain Dinesh Chandimal was ruled out of the series after picking up a groin strain.
