His bid to strike a bargain led to virtual house arrest!

-

Stories about political somersault bids are galore these days. This story is about a ‘prince’ from the upcountry estate sector, who made it to Diyawanna from a party allied to

Greens.

The man had decided to make some hay while the

Sun was shining and met several high-ups of the new regime to wrap up a deal. Meanwhile, Diga and Mano, leading two parties looking after the interests in the estate sector, got wise to what the ‘prince’ was up to and they swung into action.

The duo collared the ‘prince’ on time and managed to subdue his ambition with a long lecture. And when the ‘prince’ turned submissive, they admonished him not to budge an inch from his residence and posted several men to guard the place.

The ‘prince’ is cooling his heels under virtual house arrest these days, they say.
