HUSBAND STABS WIFE TO DEATH WITH A KNIFE

(DAILY MAIL) AUSTRALIA, 13 NOV 2018 -A Samoan man has been found guilty of murdering his wife after stabbing her with such force the tip of the kitchen knife he used broke off in her head.

Arona Peniamina was found guilty of the vicious March 2016 murder of his wife Sandra Peniamina, 29, at their Kippa Ring residence north of Brisbane, according to The Courier Mail.

The court heard the 38-year-old punched the mother-of-four and stabbed her multiple times with a kitchen knife, kicking her when she fell to the ground, and hitting her with a fence bollard in their driveway when she tried to escape.

‘She died on the driveway of that house covered in her own blood, most likely killed with a bollard that was taken from the fence line,’ prosecutor Dzenita Balic told the jury during the trial.

Early in the trial Peniamina plead guilty to a lesser offence of manslaughter, however, this was rejected by prosecutors.

The court heard the couple’s relationship had been rocky, Peniamina was concerned his children would be taken from him, and he believed his wife was having an affair.
