Construction work on Wattala Divisional secretariat suspended

The construction work of the planned five storey building for the Wattala Divisional Secretariat office complex has been abruptly halted by the contractor after only the structure of two storeys were completed.

The iron bars and PVC pipes brought for the construction work were seen abandoned here and there at the site.

Work on the building for the Wattala Divisional Secretariat office at the Old Negombo Road Wattala begun in January 2017 with the ceremonial foundation stone laying by the former Minister Vajira Abeywardena.
