A/L student run over by bus

An Advanced Level student (17) of the Anuradhapura Janadhipathi Vidyalaya, who fell on the road while attempting to board a bus, had been run over by the rear wheel.

Police said the victim was admitted to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital where he underwent an urgent surgery.the bus driver was to be produced before the Anuradhapura magistrate today.

Traffic Branch OIC Senior Inspector Palitha Nissanka, Sergeant 31310 Bandara and PC 32179 Sameera are conducting further investigations.
