Politicians should be educated

If a politician is not educated, how can he/she possibly make the best possible decisions?

Think what will happen if we appoint an uneducated person to an important Government position. Chances are he would make terrible decisions because he does not have the education needed for such a task. Politicians are our representatives elected to make decisions on our behalf. Education is the tool which improves or develops the minds of people, and it will surely benefit politicians. Politicians need to be unbiased and neutral regarding subjects like religion and race, so as to prevent communal riots and enable the country to grow and compete against the world. This can only be done by an educated politician. We need politicians who are educated.they also should be honest and devoted to the country. D.WEERATUNGA
