‘Sri Rama Kavya’ by artistes from Natya Kala Mandhir
4th Int’l Ramayana Festival in India
Artistes from the Natya Kala Mandhir presented a dance drama at the 4th International Ramayana festival which was organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations of India. The senior artistes performed at the ‘Kamani Auditorium’, New Delhi on Monday, October 29 and at ‘Centre for Environment Education’ in Ahmadabad on October 31 and on November 2 at ‘Parul University’ in Baroda respectively. Artistes from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand, and India were invited to present their artistic creations on the epic Ramayana to experience the impact of Ramayana the world over. ‘Sri Rama Kavya’ was choreographed and produced by renowned Bharathanatyam Guru Kalasuri Vasugy Jegatheeswaran and well-known dance exponents T.K. Thiruchelvam, T.
Tharmalingam performed at this programme along with the senior artistes of Natya Kala Mandhir, Shalini Vageeshwaran, Arthana Jambunathan, Harinni Amrritha Vishvanathan, Vidhushali Ganesh, Kaikeshwari Manoharan, Dakshana Kumararatnam and Keerthana Varatharajan.
