Mahanama in strong position

Pavantha Weerasinghe struck an unbeaten century to put Mahanama College, Colombo in a strong position at the end of the first day’s play in their Under-19 Inter-schools Cricket Tournament encounter against St. Mary’s College, Kegalle played at Ratmalana yesterday.

Meanwhile, Maris Stella College dominated proceedings against St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy while exchanges were even in the match between Kegalu Vidyalaya and Anuradhapura Central.
