Jack the golden retriever, like his namesake from the popular tv show This Is Us, is the most wonderful dog, according to Ariana and Damith who can’t stop singing his praises. Jack is now such a huge part of their growing family and is soon to be older brother to a sister!
Q HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR PET?
We actually got him from our neighbour. When we got married, one of the first things we wanted to do together was get a pet. So when our neighbours golden had puppies and she offered to give us one, we were ecstatic!
Q WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME YOU’VE GIVEN?
Ariana and I love the show “This is us”. And one of the main characters in the show played by Milo Ventimiglia is named Jack. Jack is the best fictional human being ever - so selfless and amazing in every sense of the word. Our little puppy is nothing short of amazing and was deserving of that name.
Q WHAT ARE MEAL TIMES AND BATH TIMES LIKE?
He has two huge meals a day and gets healthy snacks throughout the day especially considering that he has a tendency to overeat and get fat. We bathe him once or twice every week.
Q WHAT’S HIS FAVOURITE THING TO DO?
He LOVES his naps on our bed and loves going to the dog park. He also LOVES massages and he spends most of his time demanding them from us. And we happily oblige.
Q WHAT’S THE NAUGHTIEST THING HE HAS DONE?
He has access to our neighbours dogs and when they get together, it’s a riot. But
the worst he has done was destroy our neighbours prized plants.
Q HOW DOES HE REACT WHEN YOU RETURN HOME?
He is always super excited to see us and we feel the same. He easily alleviates all our stress with just his pretty face.
Q DOES YOUR PET DO ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY THAT FASCINATES YOU?
Everytime we give him snacks, he insists he wants to share it with his friends (the neighbours dogs and his siblings). And whenever my wife and I are mad at each other, he pacifies us with cuddles. It’s very adorable the way he does it.
Q WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR PET?
OMG everything! It might seem like the typical answer but it is true! He is so perfect in every way. He barely ever does anything naughty. He is so selfless and full of love. He is perfection.
Q WHAT WAS THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT YOU’VE SHARED WITH YOUR PET?
This is a tough one. We can’t pick. Every moment has been unforgettable.
