Santhush, Nipunaka put St. Peter’s in command

A fine knock of 123 by Santhush Gunatileke and an unbeaten 84 by Nipunaka Fonseka put St. Peter’s College in a strong position at the end of the first day’s play in their Under-19 Inter-schools Cricket Tournament encounter against President’s College, Kotte played at Bambalapit­iya yesterday.

St. Peter’s after bundling out their opponents for 92 runs, ended the day with a formidable first innings score of 281 for five.
