It proves Prez’s move is illegal: UNP

The National Police Commission has cancelled the transfer of CID Inspector Nishantha Silva as it was illegal, the United National Party (UNP) said yesterday.

UNP MP Mujibur Rahaman said this a media briefing last evening.

“The decision to cancel IP Nishantha Silva’s transfer was proof of another illegal move made by President Maithripala Sirisena,” he said.
