CID interrogates Mahason Balakaya chief for four hours

The founder of the Mahason Balakaya, Amith Weerasinghe was interrogated by the CID on Monday for about four hours further to the ongoing investigations into the alleged plot to assassinate the President and the former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Amith Weerasinghe was present at the CID from 10.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. as per earlier notification. He had been further informed to be present again at the CID on the 27th of this month.

When inquired Amith Weerasinghe disclosed that the CID questioned him in detail about how he came to know about DIG Nalaka Silva and Namal Kumara and his associations with them.
