25 grams heroin seized in transit

Some 25 grams of heroin was seized in transit and three suspects arrested by Puttalam Division Anti-narcotic Unit during a raid in Nagawilluwa area.

The suspects who purchased heroin from drug traffickers in Negombo had distributed them in Puttalam area and under interrogation revealed that the trade value of the stock of heroin was about Rs.600,000.the raid was carried out on a tip-off received by Puttalam division SP J.a.chandrasena. A police team under OIC Antinarcotic Unit SI Dasanayake , Sergeants 59874 Nihal, and 598 Chandrakanthi carried out the raid on the instructions of ASP Nanayakkara and SP J.a.chandrasena .
