DAY 4
Begins with the famed Sound of Music Tour and a walk though the city center where guests can enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas Markets while immersing themselves in typical Salzburg Christmas customs and traditions. The Sound of Music Tour includes visiting the Mirabell Gardens and the Pegasus Fountain, Schloss Leopoldskran, Hellbrunn Palace, Nonnberg Convent, St. Gilgen and the Modsee Sascilica. At dusk the tour continues to Obendorf to a visit to a Christmas Market before going on to the Silent Night Chapel. Here you can watch the scenic torchlight walk accompanied by music along the river Salzach from the old town in Lufen to the magical Christmas market. At the Salzach Hall the staging of the
Silent Night history play takes place with the title Longing for Peace recalling the story of how the famed song was written.
