Cabinet unlawful, says Champika

The Hansard of Parliament contained the provisions of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya’s announcement that the Cabinet of Ministers stood dissolved following the passing of the No-confidence Motion, Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) leader MP Patali Champika Ranawaka said yesterday. Mr Ranawaka told the Daily Mirror that the conduct of Cabinet meetings would amount to the abuse of State properties as a result.

“The present Cabinet is now unlawful,” he said.
