COVANRO OPENS SEASON

For the third year in succession ‘The Covanro’ Naiwala Veyangoda started to mix their traditiona­l Christmas cake to mark the beginning of the season recently with the participat­ion of some of the in-house guests.

This year The Covanro, Veyangoda will be baking a 35 kg cake and plan to offer it free of charge to its hotel guests on December 24.

In addition it would be also marketed from their outdoor food outlet during the Christmas Season.

The Hotel owned and operated by Coco Agro Hotels (Pvt) Ltd and opened three years ago has two suites, 16 deluxe with water front private balconies, 28 superior, 14 standard rooms. Executive Chef Chaminda Zoysa of the hotel said that the cake would be ready in 45 days. General Manager Janaka Jayasekara, Food and Beverage Manager, Sanjeewa Saparamadu and Sales and Marketing Manager, Achala Perera were also present at the cake mixing.

The hotel currently offers, 60 rooms including 2 Suites, 16 Deluxe with Water Front Private balconies, 28 superior, 14 standard rooms, two banquet halls and a mini VIP meeting room to accommodat­e around 10 guests.
