Condé Nast Johansens recognised the winners of its 2019 Awards for Excellence across the world at the annual ceremony held in London. Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle resort was named as the winner of the “Best Treatment Menu” in the Africa, Middle East and Indian Ocean region.

Created to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across the featured spas in their Luxury Spas Guide, the annual Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence are a trusted mark of quality, recognised by luxury consumers and travel professionals alike. The 2019 awards are based on responses from online voting, guest feedback and local expert reports drawn from the resorts and hotels featured in the most recent guides together with those featured online.

This is the ninth significant international award the resort has won and the property has established itself as one of the leading resorts on the island to travellers both from abroad and locally. Due to this strong support, the resort has achieved significant international and local recognition, including in Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards in 2017 and 2018, being named on Destinasian magazine's 2016 Luxe List, being awarded by Wine Spectator for three consecutive years 2016 – 2018 for its Il Mare restaurant, included in the Condé Nast Traveller US'S 2017 Hot List and being nominated by Singapore Tatler as one of the Top 10 Asia's Wellness Retreats 2018.

Tenille Keats, Director of Spa and Wellness said “We are extremely proud to win this prestigious award which recognises the quality and variety of our distinctive menu and services. This recognition is even more meaningful as it comes directly from the readers, guests and industry experts, many of whom have experienced one of our treatments.”
