The authorities have turned a blind eye into the scarce of physical and human resources in the faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences of the Rajarata University, the Medical Students’ Union Rajarata said. In a news release, the students said they had been highly inconvenienced because of this prevailing situation.

“We have to face issues relating to the lack of facilities in hostels, in study halls and library. The buildings are in a dilapidated condition,” they said. “When considering the lecturerers’ shortage, there are only 49 tutorial staff when the required amount is 114.

This situation has declined the standard of the medical degree in our university,” they added. They said although they had made several complaints regading this to responsible authorities such as University Grants Commission (UGC), no action had been taken yet. “

Because of the prevailing crisis, the exams and convocation have been delayed indefinitely,” they said.
