SLPP budget of Seethawaka UC defeated

The budget for the year 2019 of the Seethawaka Urban Council was defeated yesterday by one vote.

The council run by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) met yesterday at the Urban Council auditorium with its Chairman K.A. Ranaweera taking the chair.

During the vote on the budget 11 SLPP members voted in favour while 11 UNP members and a JVP member voted against it, thus defeating it.
