ALMS GIVING TO MARK CHIEF INCUMBENT’S 50TH YEAR OF ORDINATION

An alms giving ceremony was held at the Walukarama Temple on ‘Il’ Poya Day to mark the completion of 50 years of the ordination of Ven. Maharagama Nanda Thera who is the Chief Sanghanayaka of the Kotte Sri Kalyani Samagri Ratmalana temple and the Chief Incumbent of the Walukarama Temple in Kollupitiya.

Former State Minister of Defence and MP, Ruwan Wijewardene is seen handing over the Sacred Tooth Relic Casket to the Chief Incumbent the Ven. Maharagama Nanda Thera in the presence of the Ven. Udawela Kolitha Thera.
