Steps to arrest if any one engaged in unlawful acts

A Senior Police Officer in the north said yesterday that all steps have been taken to arrest anybody who tries to commit unlawful acts in such a way that LTTE Organizati­on’s activities are propagated under the pretext of commemorat­ing the people who died due to north east war.

The Senior Police sources said that several special Police Squads had been deployed to arrest such groups and the officers attached to the Terrorism Investigat­ion Division (TID) had also been assigned into Kilinochch­i, Mullathivu, Jaffna and Vavuniya areas in this regard.
