Classical Tunes to Entertain the city of Colombo

Following the success of Russian Classical Ballet in Colombo held in the month of March, the Russian Centre in Colombo has once again set the stage for a Christmas treat for all Classical Music lovers of Sri Lanka. Dmitry Miachin and Sergey Chepurko as the “Russian Classical Music Duo in Colombo” will be held on the 18th of December, 2018 at the Lionel Wendt Theatre at 7.00 p.m. amidst a crowd of music lovers. Dmitry Miachin, an individual whose influence of music comes from a tender age was surrounded by a family that had excelled in their education of this art. While his education and studies in music had been blooming since the age of 6, he managed to make his solo debut at one of the world’s largest concert halls, Wiener Musikverei­n, Austria. Sergey Chepurko has been an outstandin­g achiever of music who has obtained his degree as well as a master’s degree in music. His works include performanc­es at internatio­nal operas, evolving with time and becoming a global sensation. Together, the duo is prepared to perform works of famous musicians and composers like Skriabin, Rachmanino­ff,

Tchaikovsk­y and Chopin. The concert is catered to music lovers of all ages, with a hint of contempora­ry tunes creeping among the classical ones.
