National Meelad Un Nabi celebration

National Meelad un Nabi celebration to mark the birth day of Prophet Muhammad (Sal) organised by the Department of Muslim Cultural affairs was held at the auditorium of Colombo Zahira College on Monday.

More than 1500 students participated in various competitions such as essay compilations, calligraphy, recitation of Quranic verses and speeches etc.,

Minister of City Planning Water Supply and Muslim Cultural and Religious Affairs M.L.A.M. Hissbullah participated as the Chief Guest at this event and distributed the cash awards and certificates to those who excelled in these competitions.
