WATERFALLS

A waterfall is a place where water flows over a steep drop in the course of a river or stream. Sometimes these are steep sudden drops or they can be a series of drops. Either way waterfalls are truly fascinating and people travel from far and wide to enjoy their beauty. In Sri Lanka we have over one hundred waterfalls, and many have a mystery around them. Here are the different types of waterfalls and some of our local ones:
