Will accept if either JVP or TNA joins UNP: UPFA
UPFA MP Chandima Weerakkody recently accused TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran of bringing in anti-government forces to one platform together with the TNA, UNP and JVP.
He said Mr. Sumanthiran acted as the coordinator of this coalition which was detrimental to Sri Lanka.
“The UPFA will accept if either the JVP or the TNA joins the UNP to form a government. The UPFA has 103 MPS while the UNP has only 101. Anyone with a brain could understand that 103 is larger than 101. This means we have the majority. However, if the TNA or the JVP joins the UNP to form a government, we will accept it because such a government will have more MPS than ours,” he told the media after an event held recently in Galle.
